Best Chromebooks and Googlebooks in 2026: Top Laptops With a Google Touch

Google is expanding its laptop lineup with new Googlebooks, but Chromebooks remain a viable option for many users. This guide highlights the best devices across both categories, focusing on performance, battery life, and value. Key models from Acer, Lenovo, and HP are featured, with prices ranging from $300 to $1,000. For budget buyers, the Acer Chromebook Spin 514 offers solid specs at $499, while the Lenovo Flex 5i Chromebook Plus delivers a premium 2-in-1 experience for $549. On the higher end, the HP Dragonfly Pro Chromebook stands out with a 14-inch 2.5K display and 16GB of RAM for $999. Googlebooks, powered by ChromeOS with enhanced Android app support, are expected to hit shelves later in 2026, but early previews suggest they will target creators and professionals with stylus support and faster processors. Until then, Chromebooks continue to offer excellent value for students, remote workers, and casual users. The key takeaway: whether you choose a Chromebook or wait for a Googlebook, Google's ecosystem is becoming more versatile than ever.
