Xabi Alonso Rules Out January Loan for Chelsea's Estêvão Willian Amid Playing Time Concerns

Xabi Alonso has dismissed speculation linking Estêvão Willian with a January exit from Chelsea, insisting there are 'no discussions about that' and that 'everyone has to be ready.' The Brazilian winger, who joined from Palmeiras last year, has started only twice in 11 games this season, sparking fears he could seek a loan move for regular minutes. The 19-year-old was an unused substitute in Chelsea's Carabao Cup penalty defeat to Liverpool, fueling debate over his role under Alonso. The manager stressed that Estêvão must adapt to his tactical demands before earning a consistent starting spot. Despite the limited game time, Chelsea fans remain excited by the youngster's potential, and the club sees him as a long-term asset. For now, Alonso's message is clear: patience and adaptation are key. The coming weeks will test whether Estêvão can force his way into the lineup or if frustration grows.
