Wayne Rooney Fumes at Man United Players for Letting Down Michael Carrick

Wayne Rooney has launched a furious tirade against Manchester United players, accusing them of letting down his close friend and former teammate Michael Carrick. Rooney, speaking with characteristic bluntness, did not hold back as he criticized the squad's lack of effort and commitment, suggesting they should 'stick a firework up their a**e' to ignite some passion. His outburst underscores the growing frustration among club legends over the team's recent performances, which have fallen far below the standards expected at Old Trafford. Carrick, who served as caretaker manager and later first-team coach, is widely respected for his professionalism and tactical acumen, making the players' underperformance particularly galling for Rooney. The timing of Rooney's comments adds pressure on the current squad and management, as they face mounting scrutiny from fans and pundits alike. With the club struggling to secure a top-four finish, Rooney's words serve as a stark reminder of the accountability required when wearing the famous red shirt. The question now is whether the players will respond to such public criticism or continue to drift through a season that is rapidly becoming one to forget.
