Warriors Rookie Yaxel Lendeborg Is Older Than These 7 NBA Stars

Golden State Warriors rookie Yaxel Lendeborg has sparked conversation among NBA fans due to his age — he is older than several established stars in the league. At 25 years old, Lendeborg entered the NBA later than most rookies, and his age puts him ahead of players like Anthony Edwards, LaMelo Ball, and Tyrese Haliburton, all of whom are already All-Stars or franchise cornerstones. Even Luka Doncic, a five-time All-NBA First Team selection, is younger than Lendeborg. This unusual age dynamic highlights the different paths players take to the NBA, with Lendeborg spending additional years developing his game before making the leap. While his age may limit his perceived upside, Lendeborg’s maturity and experience could help him contribute immediately for a Warriors team looking to balance veteran leadership with young talent. As the season progresses, it will be interesting to see if Lendeborg can carve out a role and prove that age is just a number.
