TNT Sports Nears Live UK Rights for England White-Ball Cricket Tour of Australia, Channel 5 in Talks for Highlights and Free-to-Air Match

TNT Sports is close to securing live UK broadcasting rights for England's white-ball cricket tour of Australia next month, according to The Guardian. The eight-match series, comprising five T20 internationals and three ODIs, could also see one match shown free-to-air on Channel 5, which is in advanced talks with Cricket Australia for a highlights package and potentially live coverage of one T20. This deal would expand TNT Sports' cricket portfolio and offer wider public access through a terrestrial broadcaster. The tour is a key fixture ahead of future ICC events, with both teams testing combinations. If finalized, it marks a significant shift in how England's overseas cricket is consumed in the UK.
