South Africa vs Australia Third Test Day One Live: Newlands Weather Set Fair as Series Finale Begins

The third and final Test between South Africa and Australia begins at Newlands in Cape Town on Wednesday, with the first ball scheduled for 10:30am local time (7:30pm AEDT, 8:30am GMT). After rain and poor light disrupted the first two Tests, both of which went the full five days, the forecast for Cape Town is much improved: sunny conditions with only scattered cloud and temperatures peaking in the low 20s Celsius. This should allow for more uninterrupted play and a decisive result in the series, which Australia currently leads. The match is crucial for South Africa to avoid a series whitewash, while Australia aims to maintain their dominance.
