Pete Crow-Armstrong, Jacob Misiorowski Lead 2025 BBWAA Awards Finalists for MVP, Cy Young, Rookie of the Year

The Baseball Writers' Association of America has announced its finalists for the 2025 major awards, with Pete Crow-Armstrong of the Chicago Cubs and Jacob Misiorowski of the Milwaukee Brewers among the standout names. Crow-Armstrong is a finalist for National League Rookie of the Year after a breakout season, while Misiorowski earned a Cy Young finalist nod in his first full year. The awards recognize regular-season performance only, so playoff results do not factor into voting. Other finalists include established stars and emerging talents across MVP, Cy Young, and Rookie of the Year categories in both leagues. The winners will be revealed next week, capping a season defined by historic individual achievements and tight races. With several first-time finalists, this year's ballot underscores a shift toward younger impact players shaping the game's future.
