Paul Merson: Liverpool Must Beat Arsenal at Anfield to Stay in Premier League Title Race

Paul Merson has laid down a clear challenge for Liverpool ahead of their crucial Premier League clash with Arsenal at Anfield on Sunday. In his latest Sky Sports column, the former Arsenal star and pundit insists that nothing less than a victory will keep Liverpool in the hunt for the title. Merson's verdict comes as the Reds look to close the gap on the league leaders and reassert their credentials after a mixed run of form. The match carries huge implications for both sides, with Arsenal aiming to maintain their own push at the top. Merson points to Liverpool's need for a statement result on home soil to prove they can compete with the best. With Anfield expected to be at its raucous best, the pressure is firmly on Jürgen Klopp's men to deliver. A defeat or even a draw, Merson suggests, could leave Liverpool with too much ground to make up. The stakes are high as the Premier League title race intensifies. Liverpool's response to Merson's challenge will be watched closely by fans and rivals alike.
