Oregon QB Dante Moore Out for Season After Concussion, Dan Lanning Confirms

Oregon Ducks quarterback Dante Moore will not return this season after suffering a concussion against USC on Sept. 26, head coach Dan Lanning confirmed. Moore, who notably turned down the 2026 NFL Draft to return to Oregon, has been sidelined since that game. The decision prioritizes his long-term health and recovery over any short-term on-field needs. Moore's absence is a significant blow to Oregon's offense, as he was expected to be a key leader after his high-profile return. The Ducks will now rely on their remaining quarterback depth to finish the season. Lanning's confirmation ends speculation about a possible late-season comeback. Oregon's focus now shifts to supporting Moore's recovery and preparing for the future without him under center this year.
