Nigel Davies Backs Scarlets' Macs Page for Imminent Wales Debut After Late Call-Up

Scarlets director of rugby Nigel Davies believes young centre Macs Page is ready to make his Wales debut soon after receiving a late international call-up. Page, who has impressed for the Scarlets this season, was added to the Wales squad ahead of their upcoming fixtures, and Davies says the recognition is fully deserved. The 21-year-old has been a standout performer in the United Rugby Championship, showcasing his attacking flair and defensive solidity. Davies highlighted Page's rapid development and work ethic, suggesting he has the temperament for Test rugby. With Wales looking to build depth in midfield, Page's inclusion signals a changing of the guard. His potential debut would mark another milestone in a breakthrough season, and Davies expects him to seize the opportunity if selected. Wales face a challenging schedule, and Page could provide fresh energy. The Scarlets boss is confident the young back will not just be a squad filler but a genuine contender for a starting role. If he debuts, Page would join a growing list of young Welsh talents stepping up on the international stage, a positive sign for the national team's future.
