Katie Boulter Overcomes On-Court Incident to Beat Viktorija Golubic at Hong Kong Open

British No. 1 Katie Boulter advanced to the second round of the Hong Kong Open with a straight-sets win over Switzerland's Viktorija Golubic, but the match was not without controversy. Boulter revealed that an undisclosed incident during the contest 'got under my skin,' though she managed to maintain her composure to secure the victory. The win keeps Boulter on course in the WTA 250 event as she continues her strong run of form this season. The incident, while not detailed, highlights the mental challenges players face on tour and Boulter's ability to stay focused under pressure. Her performance in Hong Kong is significant as she looks to climb the rankings and build momentum heading into the final stretch of the season. With the victory, Boulter sets up a second-round clash where she will aim to continue her pursuit of a first title in Asia. The British star's resilience in overcoming mid-match distractions will be key as the competition intensifies.
