CeeDee Lamb: Arizona Cardinals Are the Dallas Cowboys' 'Boogeyman' After 8 Wins in 9 Games

Dallas Cowboys wide receiver CeeDee Lamb has never beaten the Arizona Cardinals in his NFL career, and he's calling them the team's 'boogeyman.' The Cardinals have won eight of the last nine matchups between the two franchises, including a 28-16 victory in Week 3 of the 2024 season. Lamb, a five-time Pro Bowler, has faced Arizona three times since entering the league in 2020, losing all three games. The Cowboys' only win in the last nine meetings came in 2017, before Lamb was drafted. Lamb's comments highlight a frustrating trend for Dallas, which has struggled against Arizona despite often entering the games as the more talented team on paper. The Cardinals' recent dominance over the Cowboys is one of the more surprising streaks in the NFL, given Dallas's consistent playoff appearances and Arizona's rebuilding phases. For Lamb and the Cowboys, breaking the streak would require solving a matchup that has repeatedly exposed weaknesses on both sides of the ball. As the 2025 season approaches, Dallas will likely have another shot at exorcising this particular demon, but until then, the Cardinals remain a thorn in the Cowboys' side.
