Burnley Name Ex-Basel Boss Fabio Celestini as New Head Coach

Burnley have moved quickly to fill their managerial vacancy, appointing former Basel head coach Fabio Celestini just four days after Nicky Hayen's departure. The Clarets confirmed the Swiss coach's arrival as they look to steady the ship and push for promotion back to the Premier League. Celestini, 49, brings experience from Swiss football, having managed Basel, Lausanne-Sport, and Lugano, and is known for an attacking, possession-based style. His appointment signals Burnley's intent to maintain a modern, forward-thinking approach. With the Championship season at a critical stage, Celestini faces an immediate test to lift the squad and secure a top-six finish. Burnley fans will hope his European pedigree and tactical acumen translate into results at Turf Moor. The new boss is expected to take charge of training this week ahead of a crucial run of fixtures.
