Brewers Manager Pat Murphy Blasts 'Horseshit' Yankees Team After World Series Win

Milwaukee Brewers manager Pat Murphy didn't hold back after his team's World Series clinch, calling the 2023 New York Yankees a 'horseshit' team in a candid moment with outfielder Jake Bauers. In a video captured post-celebration, Murphy told Bauers, a former Yankee, 'You're going to be a rich fucker. Just remember when you were on that horseshit Yankees team and you guys were all playing for yourself?' The remark highlights a perceived culture clash: Murphy's Brewers are built on selflessness and team-first play, while the star-laden Yankees of 2023 underperformed despite high payroll and individual talent. The comments come as the Yankees face an offseason of soul-searching after missing the playoffs, while the Brewers celebrate a championship built on cohesion rather than marquee names. Murphy's blunt assessment underscores why team chemistry often trumps raw talent in October. As Bauers heads into free agency, his former manager's words may resonate with teams looking for players who buy into a collective mindset—not just stat sheets.
