Bam Adebayo and Giannis Antetokounmpo Fit Struggles Surface as Miami Heat Open 0-4

The Miami Heat’s new-look frontcourt pairing of Bam Adebayo and Giannis Antetokounmpo is off to a rocky start, with the team winless through four games. Davion Mitchell’s recent comments have highlighted the core issue: Adebayo is struggling to find space to operate alongside Antetokounmpo, whose presence crowds the paint and limits Adebayo’s mid-range and playmaking opportunities. This fit problem is critical because both stars thrive in similar areas, and the early results suggest the coaching staff has yet to find a rotation or spacing scheme that maximizes their talents. For a franchise that reshaped its roster to contend immediately, an 0-4 start raises urgent questions about whether this pairing can work without sacrificing Adebayo’s offensive rhythm. The Heat’s next few games will be telling as they attempt to adjust lineups and spacing to unlock the duo’s potential before the season slips further away.
