2024 Sports Equinox Viewing Guide: How to Watch NFL, MLB, NBA, NHL, WNBA Games on Busiest Sports Day

Monday night marks the rare sports equinox, when all five major U.S. professional leagues—NFL, MLB, NBA, NHL, and WNBA—play on the same day. This convergence creates a uniquely crowded schedule for fans and broadcasters alike. The NFL features a Monday Night Football matchup, while MLB continues its postseason with pivotal games. The NBA and NHL are in early regular-season action, and the WNBA Finals adds championship drama. Key matchups include high-stakes baseball and basketball games that could shape playoff narratives. For viewers, the challenge is managing multiple screens and streaming options; networks and platforms are offering extensive coverage, but no single outlet carries every game. The equinox highlights the fragmented nature of modern sports viewing, as fans may need cable, streaming services, and league passes to follow all the action. This rare alignment underscores the depth of American sports culture and the growing demand for flexible viewing solutions. Plan your night wisely—the next sports equinox won't come around for a while.
