John Krasinski’s 13 Hours Hits Prime Video and Instantly Tops the Charts

John Krasinski’s intense action thriller 13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi has stormed to the top of Prime Video’s rankings shortly after returning to the platform on November 1. The 144-minute film, directed by Michael Bay and based on true events, stars Krasinski alongside James Badge Dale, Pablo Schreiber, and Max Martini as security contractors defending a U.S. diplomatic compound in Libya. Its resurgence on streaming underscores the enduring appeal of real-life military dramas and Krasinski’s growing action-star credentials. Viewers are rediscovering the film’s gritty realism and Bay’s explosive direction, which initially divided critics but has since gained a dedicated following. With the 2012 Benghazi attack remaining a topic of public interest, 13 Hours offers a visceral, boots-on-the-ground perspective that resonates with audiences seeking high-stakes storytelling. The film’s instant success on Prime Video signals strong demand for fact-based thrillers and positions Krasinski as a versatile leading man beyond his comedic roots. Expect it to remain a streaming heavyweight in the weeks ahead.
