6 Marvel Monsters Still Missing From the MCU — and Why Fans Demand Them

The Marvel Cinematic Universe has introduced gods, aliens, and sorcerers, but when it comes to classic Marvel monsters, the surface has barely been scratched. From the sprawling depths of Marvel Comics’ horror and monster titles, there are still a handful of iconic creatures that have yet to make their live-action debut — and fans are noticing. The original source highlights six specific monsters still absent from the MCU, each with decades of history and a built-in fanbase. These range from ancient, world-ending threats to tragic, misunderstood beings that could easily anchor a solo film or Disney+ series. Why it matters: Marvel Studios has proven it can turn obscure characters into household names, and the monster genre is ripe for expansion — especially with the multiverse saga opening doors to darker corners. By tapping into these characters, Marvel could diversify its storytelling, embrace horror tones, and satisfy longtime comic readers. The clock is ticking for the MCU to unleash its monstrous side before the next saga begins.
