3 Must-Watch Movies on Prime Video Before October Ends: Maxxxine, Skyfall, and The Idea of You

As October draws to a close, Prime Video offers a trio of standout films worth streaming this week. Leading the list is Maxxxine, the latest installment in Ti West's acclaimed horror series, following the ambitious adult film star Maxine Minx as she pursues mainstream fame in 1980s Hollywood. The film, starring Mia Goth, blends slasher thrills with a gritty look at the entertainment industry, making it a timely pick for Halloween season. Also featured is Skyfall, the 23rd James Bond adventure starring Daniel Craig. Celebrated for its stunning cinematography and emotional depth, Skyfall pits 007 against the cyber-terrorist Raoul Silva, played by Javier Bardem, while exploring Bond's loyalty to M, portrayed by Judi Dench. Rounding out the selection is The Idea of You, a romantic drama starring Anne Hathaway and Nicholas Galitzine. Based on the bestselling novel, it tells the story of a 40-year-old single mother who unexpectedly falls for the 24-year-old lead singer of a boy band, sparking a whirlwind romance that challenges societal norms. These three films offer something for every mood—horror, action, and romance—making them ideal for a final October movie night before the calendar flips to November.
