Ubisoft Confirms No Assassin's Creed Remakes in Development, Focuses on New Titles

Ubisoft has confirmed that no new Assassin's Creed remakes are currently in development, despite the success of Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced. In a recent update, the company stated, "We currently have no other Assassin's Creed remake actively in development," as teams focus on upcoming titles, including unannounced projects with new settings and stories. However, Ubisoft will continue exploring opportunities to bring older titles back in the future. Progress continues on Codename Hexe, a darker Assassin's Creed experience with an update expected in 2027, and Codename Invictus, a multiplayer title that recently underwent playtesting with hundreds of players. Feedback led to adjustments to better reflect core Assassin's Creed pillars. For current games, Black Flag Resynced receives a final major update adding New Game Plus, Nightmare Mode, and more, while Assassin's Creed Valhalla gets New Game Plus on November 5, along with new gear and a Divine upgrade level. This news comes amid Ubisoft restructuring, including layoffs at Ubisoft Singapore and the potential closure of RedLynx. Fans can expect fresh adventures rather than remakes in the near future.
