Sony Unveils Prism Collection: Transparent DualSense Controllers and PS5 Covers in Flare Orange, Emerald Green, and Graphite Gray

Sony is tapping into late '90s nostalgia with the new Prism Collection, a line of transparent DualSense controllers and PS5 console covers. The collection, announced by Sony's Color, Material, and Finish design team, includes three glossy colors: Flare Orange, Emerald Green, and Graphite Gray. Preorders open November 10 on PlayStation Direct, with a February 4, 2027 release date. Controllers are priced at $85 and console covers at $75. Leo Cardoso and Satoshi Aoyagi from the design team said, "We know how much our fans have been looking forward to the return of transparent controllers." The high-gloss clear finish reveals the controller's internal technology while maintaining a sleek look. This move follows other limited-edition releases, such as Marathon and Gran Turismo controllers, and Marvel's Wolverine-themed covers. The Prism Collection offers a fresh, modern take on a beloved retro trend, giving PS5 owners a stylish way to customize their setup.
