GTA 6 Ride-Hailing Feature Adds Real-World Friction to Car Summons

Grand Theft Auto 6 will let players summon their car via a smartphone app, but unlike many open-world games, it won't instantly appear. Rockstar Games has added a realistic twist: a courier from the in-game Scooter Bros. service will physically deliver your vehicle to your location for a small fee. The courier arrives with a compact scooter stashed in the trunk and rides off after dropping off your car. This means players must plan ahead, especially during missions or getaways, as calling a ride mid-robbery won't be an option. Stealing a car off the street brings its own risks, including confrontational drivers, vehicle trackers, and low fuel. Rockstar describes fuel management as a minor diversion, with cars running for long periods before needing a refill. The game releases November 19 for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, with a map nearly as large as GTA 4, GTA 5, and Red Dead Redemption 2 combined. These details highlight Rockstar's focus on immersion and multiple interacting systems, making every choice matter in the criminal underworld.
