GTA 6 PS5 Install Size Revealed: Over 200GB Storage Required

Grand Theft Auto 6 will demand a massive amount of storage on PlayStation 5, with reports indicating the game will require more than 200 GB of free space. This figure, while not officially confirmed by Rockstar Games, comes from a new report that suggests players may need to clear significant room on their consoles ahead of the game's anticipated release. The install size would make GTA 6 one of the largest games on the platform, surpassing many current titles that already push storage limits. The requirement highlights a growing trend in the gaming industry as open-world titles become more detailed and expansive. For PS5 owners, especially those with the standard 825 GB SSD, this could mean managing storage carefully, potentially deleting other games or investing in additional storage solutions. The news is particularly relevant as Rockstar has promised a highly immersive experience with a vast map and advanced graphics, which naturally demand more data. While the exact release date for GTA 6 remains unconfirmed, this storage detail offers a concrete glimpse into the game's scale. Players eager to return to Vice City should start planning their storage strategy now, as the game's footprint will be substantial. The report underscores the importance of hardware readiness for one of the most anticipated releases in gaming history.
