GTA 5 Cast Advise GTA 6's Jason and Lucia Actors: 'Appreciate the Fans' Before Fame Hits

With GTA 6 set to launch later this year, the actors behind some of the franchise's most iconic characters are offering guidance to the new leads. Shawn Fonteno (Franklin Clinton), Ned Luke (Michael De Santa), Steven Ogg (Trevor Phillips), and Young Maylay (Carl 'CJ' Johnson) recently shared advice for the performers playing Jason and Lucia, the protagonists of Rockstar's upcoming title. Their core message: appreciate the fans. The veteran cast emphasized that the GTA community is passionate, loyal, and sometimes intense, but ultimately the reason for the series' massive success. They warned the new actors to brace for the sudden shift in public recognition, as GTA 5 alone has sold over 210 million copies and remains one of the best-selling games of all time. The advice comes as anticipation builds for GTA 6, which is expected to break entertainment sales records upon release. The original actors also stressed the importance of staying grounded, avoiding online negativity, and enjoying the unique opportunity to be part of a cultural phenomenon. For Jason and Lucia's actors, the transition from relative anonymity to global fame will be swift—and how they handle it could define their careers long after the game's launch.
