From Software Delays Switch 2 Exclusive The Duskbloods to 2027

From Software has delayed its highly anticipated Switch 2 exclusive, The Duskbloods, pushing its release from this year to sometime in 2027. The studio apologized to fans and explained that the extra time will be used to enhance combat, strategic depth, and player expression, as well as to make final adjustments to game rules and balancing. Directed by Hidetaka Miyazaki, The Duskbloods is a multiplayer PvPvE title that generated massive interest, with playtest sign-ups reportedly surpassing those for Elden Ring Nightreign. GameSpot’s Jake Dekker, who previewed the game, said he’d “never played anything like it” and couldn’t wait to play more. The delay also means the game will avoid a direct clash with the upcoming GTA 6. While fans may be disappointed, the extra development time could help The Duskbloods become one of the Switch 2’s defining experiences.
