Fable Reboot May Be Pushed to 2027 as Developers Remain Cautious Following GTA 6 News

The highly anticipated reboot of the Fable franchise by Microsoft could be delayed until 2027, as concerns grow over the timing of its release in proximity to GTA 6. According to industry insider Jeff Grubb, while developer Playground is reportedly still aiming for a late 2023 launch, internal discussions suggest a delay could happen, partially due to the overwhelming hype surrounding GTA 6 set for November 19, 2025. The situation highlights the challenges game developers face when scheduling releases in an increasingly competitive market, especially against titans like the Grand Theft Auto series. As fans await further news, the potential of Fable's delay raises questions about both the title's long-term success and Microsoft's strategy in the gaming landscape.
