Diablo 4 Season 16 Overhauls War Plans with Tactics Tree and Tyrael's Boons

Blizzard is set to dramatically expand Diablo 4's endgame War Plans system in Season 16, giving players far more control over activities and rewards. Introduced in the Lord of Hatred expansion, War Plans previously limited rerolls and forced unwanted activities. The new meta-progression system, War Plans Tactics, lets players earn points by completing activities and invest them into a skill tree to increase the likelihood of specific activities like Helltides, Nightmare Dungeons, and Greater Helltides, as well as desired reward types such as armor, weapons, Obducite, and Horadric Cube materials. A new currency, Marks of Wisdom, caps at 20 and enables more frequent rerolls. Additionally, the seasonal Tyrael's Boons tree offers four paths—Curious Addition, Merchant of Mystery, Scent of Gold, and Trash for Treasure—each with six nodes, allowing players to enhance vendors, boost gold and XP, or improve crafting and transmutation. Season 16 also introduces Horadric legendaries that synergize with Talisman charms, opening new build possibilities. The changes arrive on the public test realm October 27, signaling a more customizable endgame for players.
