Cliff Richard Didn't Know 'Devil Woman' Is in GTA 6, Thought It Was a TV Show

Legendary singer Cliff Richard, 86, was surprised to learn his 1976 hit "Devil Woman" is featured in Rockstar's highly anticipated GTA 6, as revealed in the Netflix Extended Look. Speaking to The Times, Richard admitted he had no idea about the partnership until his nephew's sons told him. He even asked if GTA 6 was a game show, thinking it might be one of the biggest on TV. Despite the confusion, Richard is thrilled that younger audiences will discover his music: "People will no longer just say, 'Oh, Cliff Richard is from the past,'" he said. "Because I am, but that past is what makes everything what it is today." The inclusion has already boosted Spotify streams of "Devil Woman" significantly. GTA 6 launches November 19 on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, with a digital-only release—no disc, just a code in a box. The game's official score by Justice drops December 11, available to stream and buy on physical media. Richard's music finding a new generation in a blockbuster game underscores how classic hits are gaining renewed relevance in modern entertainment.
