Andy Weir's Time-Travel Thriller 'Exoplanet' Lands on Audible Nov. 5 with Star-Studded Cast

Acclaimed sci-fi author Andy Weir, best known for 'The Martian' and 'Project Hail Mary,' is back with a new time-travel story—and this time it's an Audible Original audio drama. 'Exoplanet' premieres on November 5, exclusively on Audible. The production boasts a heavyweight cast: Anthony Mackie, Ariana DeBose, and John Leguizamo lead the voice performances, bringing Weir's signature hard-science storytelling to life in a full-cast format. The story centers on a mind-bending temporal mystery, though plot details remain tightly under wraps. Weir's involvement as producer signals a commitment to scientific plausibility and gripping narrative, hallmarks of his previous bestsellers. For fans of audio fiction, this marks a rare convergence of A-list Hollywood talent and rigorous sci-fi world-building. With the audio market booming and Audible investing heavily in original content, 'Exoplanet' could become one of the platform's biggest releases of the year. The combination of Weir's name, a starry cast, and the built-in audience for time-travel tales positions this as a must-listen for genre enthusiasts. As November 5 approaches, anticipation is building for what promises to be a landmark audio event—and a possible template for future collaborations between bestselling authors and streaming audio platforms.
