Sharon Horgan's 'Youth' Renewed for Season 2 at HBO After Acclaimed Debut

HBO has renewed the Sharon Horgan-led series Youth for a second season, the network announced less than 24 hours after the season one finale aired. Horgan, who stars as literary agent Alex, will return for another installment of the show that centers on a 50-year-old divorcee navigating her search for sex and love while caring for her ailing parents and her adult son who has yet to grow up. The renewal signals HBO's confidence in the series, which has drawn attention for its frank and humorous take on midlife dating and family responsibilities. Horgan, also known for creating and starring in Catastrophe and Bad Sisters, brings her signature blend of wit and pathos to the role, resonating with audiences and critics alike. With season two on the way, viewers can expect more of Alex's messy, relatable journey as she balances personal desire with the demands of those who need her most.
