Paramount+ Adds CoComelon and Blippi Shows in Moonbug Kids Deal

Paramount+ is expanding its children's lineup with a new content deal with Moonbug Entertainment, the company behind popular preschool franchises CoComelon and Blippi. Starting Nov. 1, the streamer will add more than 60 hours of Moonbug programming, including series like CoComelon's JJ's Animal Time, CoComelon's The Melon Patch, and Blippi. The agreement is non-exclusive, meaning these shows may also be available on other platforms, but it gives Paramount+ a significant boost in the competitive kids' streaming space. Moonbug, which was acquired by Candle Media in 2021, has become a powerhouse in children's entertainment, with CoComelon and Blippi ranking among the most-watched preschool content on YouTube and streaming services. For Paramount+, this deal strengthens its offering for families, a key demographic for subscriber growth and retention. The move comes as streamers increasingly invest in library content to complement originals, and it positions Paramount+ to compete with rivals like Netflix and Disney+ in the battle for young viewers.
