NewFilmmakers Los Angeles Partners with Mar del Plata International Film Festival for 2024 Shorts Showcase

NewFilmmakers Los Angeles (NFMLA) has announced a new partnership with the Mar del Plata International Film Festival in Argentina. The collaboration will bring eight short films by NFMLA alumni to the festival this November. NFMLA will also join an industry panel discussing the role of film festivals, markets, and creative hubs in supporting emerging talent. This marks the first partnership between the two organizations, expanding NFMLA's international reach and providing its filmmakers with a prestigious platform in Latin America. Mar del Plata is one of the oldest film festivals in the Americas, making this a significant opportunity for exposure and networking. The initiative underscores a growing trend of cross-border collaboration among film organizations to foster new voices. NFMLA's alumni will gain access to a global audience and industry professionals, potentially opening doors to future co-productions and distribution deals. As the festival approaches, all eyes will be on how these emerging filmmakers resonate with international audiences.
