John Stamos and California Sound Replace Beach Boys at Epcot’s Eat to the Beat Amid Mike Love Health Concerns

John Stamos, the Full House star and longtime Beach Boys collaborator, will step in with his new spin-off group California Sound at Walt Disney World’s Epcot International Food & Wine Festival. The group replaces The Beach Boys for the Eat to the Beat concert series performances on November 11 and 12, 2024. The change comes as Beach Boys co-founder Mike Love faces health issues that have sidelined the legendary band. Stamos, who has toured and recorded with The Beach Boys for decades, is a natural fit to keep the show going. The Eat to the Beat series is a major draw for Epcot visitors, blending culinary experiences with live music from well-known acts. The last-minute swap underscores the unpredictability of live events and the importance of having versatile performers like Stamos who can honor the Beach Boys’ legacy. Fans attending those dates can still expect a night of classic surf-rock hits, delivered with Stamos’s signature energy. For Disney and music lovers alike, the show will go on—just with a different, yet familiar, frontman.
