John Oliver on Elizabeth Holmes and Billy Evans: 'Complete Lunatics' in 'You Can See Everything'

John Oliver used his HBO show 'Last Week Tonight' to skewer Elizabeth Holmes and Billy Evans, calling them 'complete lunatics' in a segment reviewing 'You Can See Everything.' Oliver, who has been focused on the Nov. 3 midterm elections, shifted gears to lampoon the Theranos founder and her partner. Holmes, convicted of fraud in January 2022, and Evans, heir to a hotel fortune, have drawn media attention for their relationship and public appearances. Oliver's commentary highlights the absurdity of their post-conviction life, including Evans' social media posts and Holmes' attempts to rebrand. The segment matters because it underscores how disgraced tech figures remain in the public eye, and Oliver's comedic take provides accountability through satire. Expect more scrutiny as Holmes' appeal and sentencing continue.
