HBO's Harry Potter Series Casts Jasper Talbot and Hannah Chinn as James and Lily Potter, Harry Gilby as Charlie Weasley

HBO's upcoming Harry Potter television series has found its James and Lily Potter in Jasper Talbot and Hannah Chinn, respectively, and has cast Harry Gilby as Charlie Weasley. The announcement adds key figures from the wizarding world's past and the Weasley family, whose members include Bill, Percy, Fred, George, Ron, and Ginny. Talbot and Chinn will portray the parents of the titular wizard, whose tragic deaths at the hands of Lord Voldemort set the entire story in motion. Gilby steps into the role of the second eldest Weasley son, a character known for his love of dragons and his work in Romania. These casting choices come as the series continues to build its ensemble ahead of production, generating significant anticipation among fans eager to see a new generation bring J.K. Rowling's beloved characters to life. With a multi-season commitment planned, the series aims to delve deeper into the books' details than the films allowed, making the casting of even supporting roles like Charlie Weasley a notable event. As the cast grows, so does the promise of a faithful and expansive adaptation.
