Fox Renews ‘Nation’s Dumbest’ for Season 2 After Record Summer Launch

Fox is doubling down on its viral clip show ‘Nation’s Dumbest,’ renewing the series for a second season. Hosted by British comedian Jack Whitehall, the show curates and comments on real-life mishaps and outrageous moments. The renewal follows a strong debut: the first season premiered July 15 and drew 2.3 million total viewers in its first seven days, according to Nielsen. That made it Fox’s biggest summer launch in four years, a significant win for the network’s unscripted slate. The show’s blend of humor and shareable content has resonated with audiences, particularly in the key 18-49 demographic, where it ranked among the summer’s top new unscripted series. Fox’s decision signals confidence in the format and in Whitehall’s appeal to American viewers. With a second season greenlit, ‘Nation’s Dumbest’ is poised to become a staple of Fox’s summer lineup and a reliable performer in a competitive landscape.
