Disney Renews Supernatural YA Series ‘Coven Academy’ for Season 2

Disney has officially renewed its supernatural young adult series “Coven Academy” for a second season. Created by Tim Federle, the show centers on three teenage witches and their warlock peers at an elite magic boarding school where power is currency, secrets are lethal, and attraction is a liability. The renewal signals Disney’s continued investment in original programming that blends fantasy, teen drama, and mystery—a genre that has proven popular with younger audiences. While no premiere date or episode count has been announced, the early pickup suggests strong viewership and engagement on Disney’s platforms. Fans can expect deeper dives into the characters’ magical abilities, the school’s dark history, and the romantic tensions that complicate their alliances. The series joins a growing slate of supernatural YA content as streamers and networks compete for the teen demographic. With its unique mix of magic, danger, and coming-of-age themes, “Coven Academy” is poised to become a staple of Disney’s young adult lineup.
