BAFTA Names UKTV's Hilary Rosen as New Chair, Succeeding Sara Putt

The British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) has appointed Hilary Rosen as its new chair, taking over from Sara Putt after her three-year term. Rosen, currently deputy chair and a commissioning boss at UKTV, will step into the role with immediate effect. She is widely respected in the television industry for her work commissioning original content. Ade Rawcliffe and Andrew Miller will jointly succeed Rosen as deputy chairs. The leadership change comes at a pivotal time for BAFTA as it continues to expand its global influence and champion creative excellence across film, games, and television. Rosen's background in commercial broadcasting is expected to bring fresh perspectives on audience engagement and industry partnerships. BAFTA's awards ceremonies and talent initiatives remain central to its mission, and the new chair will play a key role in steering the organization through evolving media landscapes. With Rosen at the helm, BAFTA looks poised to strengthen its position as a leading voice for the screen arts.
