Studioninedots' Light House: A Skinny Amsterdam Home Redefined by Glass Blocks and Industrial Chic

Studioninedots has unveiled 'Light House', a striking, multi-story family home in Amsterdam's new Centrumeiland district. Designed for a narrow urban plot, the residence masterfully employs glass blocks, metal grilles, and glossy tiles to create a unique industrial aesthetic while maximizing natural light and privacy. The interior is organized as a series of distinct yet interconnected living zones, allowing each family member their own space within a cohesive whole. This vertical neighborhood concept encourages both individual retreat and shared family life. Light House stands as a prime example of innovative urban infill design, transforming spatial constraints into opportunities for creative living and aesthetic expression, offering a luminous and resilient dwelling in the heart of a rapidly developing Amsterdam neighborhood.
