DSDHA Revitalizes Henry Moore Studios Gallery with 'Elegant Frugality'

London-based DSDHA has completed a sensitive renovation of the Sheep Field Barn gallery at the Henry Moore Studios & Gardens in Hertfordshire. The project focused on updating exhibition areas and introducing flexible workshop spaces, breathing new life into the former agricultural building originally converted in 1999. Guided by a philosophy of 'elegant frugality,' DSDHA prioritized enhancing the existing structure with understated yet refined interventions. The renovation improved natural light, circulation, and accessibility while discreetly integrating modern services. Key to the project was creating adaptable spaces that respect the site's heritage and support the Henry Moore Foundation's educational mission. This sustainable approach ensures the gallery is better equipped for future exhibitions and community engagement, preserving the inspirational spirit of Henry Moore's creative sanctuary for generations to come.
