DeWalt’s Power Tool Batteries Now Double as Laptop Chargers via USB-C

DeWalt has introduced a USB-C charging adapter that lets its 20V and FlexVolt power tool batteries charge laptops, tablets, and other USB-C devices, turning a common job site battery into a portable power bank. The adapter, model DCB094, plugs onto the top of DeWalt batteries and provides up to 100W of power delivery, enough to charge a laptop at full speed. This matters for contractors and DIYers who already own DeWalt batteries and need to keep laptops or phones running on job sites without an AC outlet. The adapter also includes a USB-A port for charging smaller devices, and it can recharge the battery itself when plugged into a USB-C wall charger. DeWalt says the adapter is compatible with all its 20V MAX and FlexVolt batteries, which are widely used in drills, saws, and other tools. The move reflects a broader trend of tool brands leveraging their battery ecosystems for everyday electronics. For professionals, this means fewer chargers to carry and more uptime for critical devices. It’s a practical bridge between the tool world and the mobile office.
