Robinhood Adds Ripple's RLUSD Stablecoin, Expands Treasury and Trading Ties

Robinhood is integrating Ripple's RLUSD stablecoin across its platforms, with the token now live on Robinhood Chain and Bitstamp, and a rollout to the Robinhood app expected later this year. The move deepens collaboration between the two companies, extending beyond stablecoin support to include Ripple's treasury software and institutional trading loan services. RLUSD, a US dollar-pegged stablecoin issued by Ripple, aims to provide faster, low-cost settlement for digital asset transactions. For Robinhood, adding RLUSD aligns with its strategy to broaden crypto offerings and attract institutional clients, while Ripple gains access to Robinhood's large retail user base. The integration could enhance liquidity and utility for RLUSD, which faces competition from established stablecoins like USDC and USDT. As regulatory clarity improves, such partnerships may accelerate mainstream adoption of digital assets in traditional finance. The collaboration signals a strategic push by both firms to capture a larger share of the evolving crypto-finance ecosystem.
