Walmart’s 2024 Thanksgiving Meal Deal: More Food, Lower Price, Free Delivery

Walmart has unveiled its 2024 Thanksgiving meal basket, and it’s bigger and cheaper than last year’s offering. The retail giant’s holiday bundle now includes more items while costing less, and it comes with free delivery—a move that could intensify competition among grocery chains during the crucial holiday shopping season. Walmart did not specify the exact price or item count in the shared context, but the emphasis on added value and convenience signals a direct challenge to rivals like Target, Aldi, and Kroger, who are also rolling out holiday meal deals. For budget-conscious families, Walmart’s offer could mean a full Thanksgiving spread without the usual price hike. As inflation continues to squeeze household budgets, such promotions are likely to drive store traffic and online orders. The free delivery perk is especially notable, as it removes a common friction point for shoppers planning large holiday meals. With the countdown to Thanksgiving underway, expect other retailers to respond with their own discounts and bundle upgrades. Walmart’s strategy appears clear: win the holiday table by offering more for less, and make it effortless to get.
